Radio stations. There must be a huge shortage of songs from which to choose to play on the radio here in central Florida. That is the only logical conclusion I can come to after hearing the same songs played upwards of 4 times during an 8 hour period. Also, how about sticking to a format? I like a wide variety of musical genres. The station I usually have on at work is a mix station (89’s, 90’s and today!). However, they play an awful lot of country on that station.
Now don’t get me wrong, I like country. Sometimes. When I want to listen to country, I’ll flip over to the country station. I don’t want half of the music on the mix station to be country.
Taylor Swift. Enough. She’s everywhere. I’ll give her credit for being a decent song writer. I know she makes grown men drool all over themselves. I get it. However, she doesn’t really sing all that well. Even before the big Grammy screw up, I had said over and over again that she sucks live. Anyone can sound good in a studio. Let’s face facts though, if she looked like Jabba the Hut, she would never have gotten a recording contract.
While out at lunch today I saw this:
I don’t think I want to know the story behind that particular vanity plate.
My cable company also provides my internet service at home. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment that is roughly 1100 square feet. It’s not huge. The wireless modem is in my son’s room. For the last 2 days, my laptop has been getting 2 bars of signal strength from the wireless modem. Unacceptable. From his bedroom to the living room is what? 15 feet? Maybe? I have enough issues with my laptop because it’s running Vista. I don’t need to add a low wireless signal to the mix. Dear Brighthouse, get your shit together. Please.
Weddings and Engagements. There must be something going around. In the last two weeks a friend got engaged, a friend of mine got married and a friend of The Man’s got married. Apparently love is in the air. From the pic below, you can see how thrilled The Man is with attending weddings.
New pet. For the past few months, I’ve been petless for the first time in 14 years. I’ve shown and trained dogs half my adult life. As much as I love dogs, and as much as I miss Zoe, I decided to take a break from dogs. I’ve always wanted a bird, and this weekend we got one. It’s an early birthday present. She’s a 6 month old Yellow Shouldered Amazon.
